Frequently Asked Questions
Does this pen have any small parts or caps that could be a choking hazard for young children?
No. The favide 6-in-1 multicolor pen uses a retractable click design with no removable caps, so there are no small pieces for toddlers to swallow, chew on, or lose at home or in a classroom.
Is the ink non-toxic and safe if my child accidentally gets it on their hands or mouth?
The pen is designed with a plastic round body and sealed gel ink reservoir intended for children's use, but we still recommend adult supervision for kids under three, as with any standard writing tool.
Will the pen tip break easily if my kid presses too hard during homework or drawing?
The 0.5mm fine point is built into a spring telescopic color switch, so it holds up well to normal pressure from children's writing and art projects without bending or snapping.
Can my child use this pen to color-code their school planner and textbooks easily?
Yes. Six ink colors in one barrel mean your child can switch between black, blue, red, orange, green, and purple with a simple click, making color-coding subjects and tasks fast and fun.
Is the 22-pack a good size for handing out at a kids' birthday party without running short?
Yes. The 22-pack is sized specifically for full classroom or party-group counts, so you can give one to every child at the table plus keep a few extras for the goody bag station.
I'm a mom planning a birthday party — is this a good goody bag filler that won't feel cheap?
Yes. Parents consistently choose this pen for goody bags because it is one toy that actually gets used at school, replacing six single pens and feeling like a real gift rather than a throwaway trinket.
Will my child actually want to use this for homework, or is it just a toy?
The fun rainbow color set makes writing feel playful, which is exactly what helps kids who resist homework sit down and engage with practice sheets, spelling lists, and reading logs.
Is this pen safe to leave in my child's school desk or backpack overnight?
Yes. The retractable design and round ambidextrous body mean there is nothing to leak, no cap to come off, and nothing sharp, so it is safe to store in a cubby, pencil case, or backpack pocket.
Can I use this as a stocking stuffer without worrying about the ink leaking on other gifts?
Yes. The sealed gel ink roller ball is designed to be leak-resistant during normal handling, so it is safe to wrap and place inside a holiday stocking alongside other small presents.
Is the barrel easy for small hands to grip during long coloring or writing sessions?
Yes. The plastic round body has a medium point and a smooth ambidextrous shape that fits comfortably in small hands, supporting both left- and right-handed kids during art projects.
Is a multicolor pen better than buying a pack of regular colored pencils for a kids' art kit?
For portable art kits and travel, yes. One 6-in-1 pen replaces six markers or pencils, takes up less space, and the retractable design means no caps to lose in a backpack or pencil case.
How does this compare to washable markers for a child who is still learning to write inside the lines?
Washable markers are great for very young toddlers, but for school-age kids doing homework and art projects, this pen offers cleaner 0.5mm fine-point lines that won't bleed through standard notebook paper.
Could the pen break if my child drops it on the tile or hardwood floor?
The plastic body is durable enough to handle typical drops from desk height during school or play, though we do not recommend testing it from higher surfaces or against hard walls.
I'm worried about my child chewing on pen caps — does this design remove that risk?
Yes. Because the pen is fully retractable with no removable cap, there is nothing for your child to chew on, pull off, or accidentally choke on during homework time.
Is the ink truly fade-proof so my child's color-coded notes last the whole school year?
Yes. The fade-proof gel ink is formulated to stay legible across a full academic year of planner entries, textbook highlights, and journal writing without smearing or fading.
How do I switch between the six colors on the favide 6-in-1 pen?
Simply press the click button at the top of the barrel repeatedly. Each click advances the spring telescopic color switch to the next color, cycling through black, blue, red, orange, green, and purple.
How do I replace the ink or refill the pen when it runs out?
The favide 6-in-1 pen is a sealed multicolor design, so when the ink is fully used, you replace the entire pen rather than refilling it. The 6-, 12-, and 22-pack tiers make restocking easy and affordable.
How do I keep the pen writing smoothly for the longest life?
Store it horizontally at room temperature, avoid leaving it in a hot car, and click through the colors occasionally so all six ink channels stay primed and ready to write.
Does this pen fit a standard pencil case, cup holder, or pen organizer?
Yes. The pen has a standard round barrel and a typical pen length, so it slides into most pencil cases, desk organizers, and car cup holders without needing a special holder.
Is this pen compatible with standard refills or accessories from other brands?
No. Because it is an integrated 6-in-1 retractable system, it does not accept third-party refills, and the click mechanism is purpose-built for the favide barrel design.
What exactly comes in the box when I order the favide multicolor pen pack?
Your order arrives with the chosen quantity of favide 6-in-1 retractable multicolor pens, each pre-loaded with six ink colors, packaged in a retail-ready box ready for gifting or storage.
Is the pen safe to use for long writing sessions without hand fatigue?
Yes. The medium-point round barrel is ambidextrous and lightweight, designed to reduce hand strain during long homework, journaling, or office note-taking sessions.
What if my pen arrives damaged or one of the colors does not work?
Contact the favide seller directly through your order page for a replacement. The pens are backed by standard customer support, and defective units are typically replaced quickly.
What is the difference between a 6-in-1 multicolor pen and a pack of colored gel pens?
A pack of colored gel pens gives you six separate barrels to manage, while the 6-in-1 multicolor pen combines all six colors into one retractable click pen, saving space, eliminating lost caps, and offering better portability.
